Dr Petra Hofmann
Biography
As Special Collections Librarian, I am responsible for the care, management, documentation, and promotion of the Library鈥檚 historic special collections, with a particular focus on manuscripts and early printed books dating from before 1850.
My duties include conservation planning, condition surveys, and collection management, as well as specialist research and metadata work. I also manage the imaging service for the historic collections.
In addition, I promote engagement with the historic collections by curating exhibitions and by developing written and online content that highlights their significance and makes them more accessible to wider audiences.
