The service was conducted by Fergus Butler Gallie听(2010, History and Modern Languages),听who joined us from Liverpool.听Tom Finch听(2011, Classics)听read 'In Flanders Field'听and Saints Captain听Ed Sandford (2016, Geography)听read 'The Soldier', followed by Master of WorksIan Stokes reading the Ode of Remembrance. Freddy Thurston听(2012, Medicine), who had come down from Scotland to play, laid a wreath on their behalf and Ed Sandford laid one on behalf of the rugby team. Many thanks to Gwyndaf Oliver who played The Last Post beautifully.听

Just as the service started so did the rain, and it poured down, which was very moving. The words from Fergus to the Saints rugby team were very true听鈥撎齱hile we stand here and remember them, if you can't handle some rain you don't deserve to be a Saint.听The match was played in a great spirit and won by the Old Boys.听

The whole event was supported by just under 40 people and we thank all who attended.
